First Commercial Drone Association to Offer Non-For-Profit Assistance for Drone Financing, Insurance, and Legal Assistance

LOS ANGELES - Feb. 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Drones are becoming a larger part of general aviation around the world, and the integration of aerial robotics into everyday aviation applications and more is here to stay. As more operators and businesses are entering into commercial aviation via aerial robotics, there is the need for the same financing, insurance, and legal assistance offered to traditional manned aircraft operators and businesses.

The UAVSA has created the very first set of services and assistance that follows just this model. The partnerships forged by the UAVSA with traditional service providers in financing, insurance, and legal assistance gives this power to the drone operator and business.

The UAVSA offers its members assistance in obtaining a 333 Exemption from the Federal Aviation Administration to operate drones for commercial applications and has assisted over 500 members successfully in the past year. A 333 Exemption is required by the FAA to operate a drone under 55 lbs. for commercial applications by an individual or company performing the application for commercial gain.
