Lifestyle Media Group Names Kevin Kaminski Group Editor

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - March 1, 2016 - PRLog -- Lifestyle Media Group (LMG), which publishes 10 Lifestyle and Life publications, South Florida Business & Wealth (SFBW) and Tribal Business Journal (TBJ), today announced it has named Kevin Kaminski Group Editor of all 10 Lifestyle and Life publications.

Mr. Kaminski arrives at Lifestyle Media Group following a decade-long run as editor of Boca Raton magazine. Between 2008 and 2014, Boca Raton earned the Florida Magazine Association’s highest honor—Best Overall magazine in its circulation category—an unprecedented five times in seven years. During the last eight years of his tenure, the magazine captured more than 50 FMA honors, including 20 first-place Charlie Awards and individual Charlie honors for Mr. Kaminski’s own feature and column writing.

The University of Florida graduate began his journalism career as a sports writer for the Fort Myers News-Press; within two years of being hired, he was tapped to cover the Miami Dolphins for Gannett News Service during the Dan Marino era. His newspaper work led to an opportunity with Curtis Publishing in Miami, where Mr. Kaminski guided the editorial direction of two national sports publications—Football News and Basketball Weekly—for seven years. During that period, he interviewed the era’s greatest college and pro football and basketball figures, from Joe Montana, Michael Jordan and Bobby Bowden to Emmitt Smith, Mike Krzyzewski and Magic Johnson.

Mr. Kaminski began his magazine career at Palm Beach Illustrated, where he spent the final three years of his five-year run as the luxury lifestyle publication’s editor. During his time at Boca Raton, Mr. Kaminski served seven years on the executive board of the Florida Magazine Association, including three terms (August 2011 to August 2014) as president of the largest state magazine association in the United States.
