March 3, 2016 - PRLog -- Kent State University’s College of Business Administration will hold two Graduate Programs Nights during the month of March.

The first session will be held on Monday, March 14 at the Twinsburg Campus and the second session will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at the Kent State Student Center. Prospective students, faculty, staff and the general public are invited to register for the free event.

“Our Graduate Programs Night will provide a convenient forum to learn more about the programs that Kent State University’s College of Business Administration has to offer,” said Felecia Urbanek, graduate coordinator for the College of Business Administration. “Prospective students will gain insight about the programs, curriculum, financial aid options and admissions requirements and deadlines.”

Kent State University’s internationally accredited graduate business programs feature innovative curriculums, experienced faculty and flexible scheduling. A graduate degree prepares students for senior-level management, executive and research positions in regional, national and international organizations.

“Starting in Fall 2016, the Kent State MBA program will be structured as a uniquely accelerated program utilizing eight-week semesters; pre-MBA webinars, to be completed before the classes begin, will be offered,” said Louise Ditchey, Graduate Programs Director at the Kent State College of Business Administration. “Students without a business degree will be brought up to speed, and others can refresh their knowledge so the class time is spent more on application and critical thinking and less on introductory topics.”

The College of Business Administration offers seven graduate programs including; Full-time and Part-time MBA’s, Executive MBA for Healthcare Professionals, Executive MBA for Corporate Professionals, Masters of Science in Accounting, Masters of Arts in Economics and Ph.D. in Business Administration.

There are many concentrations to choose from in the MBA program including; Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Fashion Merchandising, Finance, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, International Business, Marketing and Supply Chain Management.

“Full-time students could earn the degree in 12 to 15 months, and Part-time students in 24 to 27 months.  While total credit hours will be reduced, the MBA program will be more efficient and cost effective, while retaining AACSB-accreditation quality,” said Ditchey.

Additionally, the College of Business Administration offers five dual-degree programs, which allow students to pursue two master’s degrees simultaneously. The dual-degrees include; MBA/Master in Library and Information Science, MBA/Master of Architecture, MBA/Masters of Science in Nursing, MBA/Masters of Arts in Translation and the newly added MBA/Masters of Arts in Communications Studies.

The event on March 14 will be in Executive Suite Room 136 of the Twinsburg Center from 6 to 8 p.m. and the event on March 16 will be in room 317 of the Kent State Student Center from 6-8 p.m.
