L-Tron Deploys 2,000+ Driver’s License Readers to Law Enforcement Agencies

VICTOR, N.Y. - March 4, 2016 - PRLog -- Effective February 16, 2015. L-Tron Corporation is pleased to announce a total of 2500+ new deployments of their 4910LR driver’s license reader to Pennsylvania State Police as well as agencies in Wisconsin and New Mexico.

The rugged, compact 3^rd generation 4910LR purpose-built for Law Enforcement eCitation and incident reporting, gets you off the curb, back on patrol, keeping our communities safe.

The 4910LR instantly captures the data encoded in barcodes found on driver’s licenses and vehicle registrations. Providing superior contrast scanning with a red LED backlight and visible green LED aiming beam, the user-friendly 4910LR performs exceptionally well in all lighting conditions, and is easily stowed when not in use. Image capture is also a feature that allows officers to take images of:

·         Ink on paper, such as signature capture, accident scene sketches, and fingerprints.

·         Gray scale image capture used for false ID presented, driver’s license in frame with speed results, and any other basic photo requirements.

The 4910LR is certified by more than 20 independent software vendors and can be configured to work with public e-citation and accident reporting software applications, as well, including TraCS, MOVE, eCWS, KYOPS, SECTOR, and E-TIX.
