The Accidental Tourist Arrives at Bokeh Gallery

PHOENIX - March 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Shade Projects is proud to present The Accidental Tourist, a juried group photography exhibition Guest Curated by Christopher OShana in Bokeh Gallery at the monOrchid. "The Accidental Tourist" is a juried group photography exhibition that will showcase cell phone photography of Arizona taken within the last two years. Rediscover the beauty of Arizona through the lens of a cell phone as you explore the unique photographs of some wonderful local photographers.

We are excited to welcome special guest curator, Christopher Boats OShana who is the Shade Projects Preparator and a budding Photographer. When asked why cell phone photography of Arizona OShana replied, "Due of the amount of photos being taken by cellphones and the quality is just getting better and better, not to mention there are so many artists and non-artists in Arizona that can not afford a DSLR."

OShana was honored to jury this exhibition, receiving numerous submissions, resulting in the selection of an eclectic group of 12 local artists. The chosen rooster of artists includes: Amanda Abbott, Chadwick Fowler, Brandon Greer, Andrew Hutchinson, Miguel de Jezus, Johnny Kerr, Heather Kirk, Jon Linton, Michael Mutature, Alex Plasko, George Voellmer and Onna Jeanna Voellmer.

"The Accidental Tourist" is a juried group exhibition that is proudly sponsored by Shade Projects, Rainey Studios, the monOrchid, and ODP. The monorchid and Shade Projects curator, Nicole Royse will host the Opening Reception on First Friday, April 1^st, 2016 from 6-10pm including an opportunity to meet the artists and curators. The closing reception will be on Thursday, April 21^st, 2016 from 6-10pm. The Accidental Tourist will be on display in Bokeh Gallery at the monorchid from until April 24^th, 2016.
