Pedego Unveils the Mighty Trail Tracker IV Fat Tire Electric Bike

The new Trail Tracker keeps the bike’s famous 4-inch fat tires to help riders glide over uneven ground and goes way beyond in styling and technology. Featuring new frame geometry with an integrated, down-tube 48-volt, 11 amp hour battery, the Trail Tracker offers a more controlled ride with sporty handling and a relaxed, forward riding position. In true Pedego fashion, the battery can still be charged easily on or off the bike.

Along with an LCD display and USB charging port, the Trail Tracker now includes Pedego’s exclusive PedalSense Technology™, an advanced form of Pedal Assist, greatly enhanced to give riders more confident command over mountain passes, rocky passages and sandy terrain. With PedalSense, the bike responds to riders’ pedaling as though reading their minds. PedalSense Level 0 allows you to ride normally without any assistance. Levels 1–4 use a state-of-the-art torque sensor to deliver proportional assistance based on how hard you pedal. Level 5 provides full power whenever you pedal. Levels 1–5 all have a throttle override for full power on demand. Level 6 is throttle only without any automatic pedal assistance. PedalSense makes digital control of the bike more responsive than ever.

The Trail Tracker’s state-of-the-art geared motor provides 500 watts of acceleration and hill climbing strength that combines forcefully with Shimano seven speeds and twist-and-go throttle for full control wherever you go. Plus, all that start needs plenty of stop, and Pedego built this bike with top-of-the-line SRAM disc brakes for full stopping power. Straight handlebars with a 2-inch rise offer maximum upper-body comfort while helping the rider maintain strict steering control. Riders will love the Trail Tracker even on rough rides as Pedego’s sporty saddle and suspension seat post provide extra comfort where it counts the most. Top it off with a front light for extra safety.
