The single performance event will feature three rounds of non-stop bull riding action and in addition to great bull riding talent, Hedeman is bringing in 5 time rodeo entertainer of the year nominee, Cody Sosebee, and the voice of the CBR, Chris Rankin with rodeo announcer Chris Pyle to call the play by play action from the announcer's booth. In addition, CBR offers fans a rare opportunity to see two of the sport's elite athletes. The reigning CBR World Champion and 2015 NFR Average Champion Cody Teel will be joined by two-time PRCA World Champion and the 2014 CBR World Champion, Sage Kimzey. These cowboys left Las Vegas last December No. 1 and 2 and have been duking it out on the dirt ever since. "Kimzey is a rare talent who rides basically flawless and Teel has the heart and determination of a champion every time he pulls his rope," said Hedeman, the four-time World Champion Bull Rider who now produces the nationally televised Road to Cheyenne tour events. This event will not only feature the two highly decorated World Champion bull riders, each with over $1 million in earnings, but the current No. 2 ranked rider Cody Rostockyj, who will be in town trying to earn his No. 1 ranking back after a hot streak that lasted from August to February. No. 3 Brennon Eldred, a two time National Finals Rodeo qualifier, and multiple CBR event winner will be attempting to take the lead for the first time this season after a strong finish last week in Las Vegas and four Shoot Out round appearances during the 2016 season. The Competition National Rodeo Qualifiers, Jacob O'Mara, Trey Benton, Aaron Pass, Reid Barker, and Tim Bingham will also join the other 26 talented riders who will be in town and you can be sure they will be taking their best shot at the big pot of gold sitting in the CBR bank. Never has this much money been available as prize earnings to bull riders competing in Salina. The Format This year's event pits the industry's elite riders against the best bulls in a three round tournament style format where riders may challenge as many as three bulls to win the event. CBR Ambassador and chute boss, Tuff Hedeman selects the stock for the nationwide televised tour that is broadcast on Fox Sports Networks. "I really like this style of competition," In addition to the lucrative prize money, bull riders accumulate points which qualify them for the World Finals, part of the legendary Cheyenne Frontier Days celebration held in Wyoming next July. At the end of the World Finals the contestant who has the most points will be crowned the CBR World Champion and receive a $100,000 bonus. The other side of the ride The Salina event will also feature the "other side of the ride", CBR's Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge. Bull owners from all around the country will bring three bulls that are featured during the rounds of competition. The bulls are competing for points based on their performance in the arena. Additionally, the time the bull riders stays on is added to the bull's score. At the end of the night the owner with the three highest scoring bulls will receive $20,000.
