Low and Ultra Low NOx Mobile Boiler Rooms Added to Expanding Rental Fleet

March 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Five new emissions-friendly mobile boiler rooms have been added to Nationwide Boiler Inc's growing fleet of rental boiler systems.  Each pre-engineered and fire-tested system includes a firetube steam boiler and auxiliary steam plant equipment for complete stand-alone operation. The equipment is designed for highway legal mobile transportation and to meet the increasing demand for commercial and industrial boiler users located in California and other parts of the nation who must comply with strict air emission requirements.

Two of the five systems have 650 hp, 250 psig design, boilers with forced draft burners emitting less than 9 ppm NOx and 50 ppm CO when firing with natural gas. A back-up fuel option for customers that do not have natural gas available is liquid propane gas (LPG). The equipment is contained in a 48 foot container installed on a trailer chassis. These mobile boiler rooms are pre-certified to comply with the strictest emissions requirements in the country, found in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) or Los Angeles, CA area.

Two additional systems include 800 hp, 250 psig design boilers, with forced draft burners emitting less than 30 ppm NOx when fired with natural gas and reduced emissions when fired with No. 2 oil. The remaining system contains the industry's first 1,000 hp mobile boiler room. The 1,000 hp firetube boiler is designed at 290 psig and includes a low NOx natural gas or #2 oil fired burner. The equipment is contained in a 53 foot container installed on a trailer chassis.

Each of the new systems listed above are pre-piped and wired and include a spray-type deaerator, pair of vertical centrifugal feedwater pumps and chemical treatment systems, blowdown separator,  sample cooler, water softener with brine tank for regeneration (optional for the 1,000 hp system), and motor control center. The new 650 hp ultra low NOx mobile boiler rooms will initially be stored at Nationwide Boiler's headquarters in Fremont, CA. The two new 800 hp mobile boiler rooms will be stored on the East Coast, and the 1,000 hp low NOx mobile boiler room will be stored in the Midwest.
