Derek Taylor Kent inks book deal with Evolved Publishing for his new novel entitled KUBRICK'S GAME

"Kubrick's Game" is in the vain of the "The Da Vinci Code" and "Ready Player One" with a puzzle/action/adventure theme adding to the suspense as each clue is discovered.  Shawn Hagan, a college film student obsessed with legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, discovers hidden clues in his movies which lead him on a harrowing quest toward a mysterious treasure that Kubrick left behind. Endangered by sinister groups on the same quest, Shawn has no choice but to claim the prize first because in the wrong hands … "It has the power to change the course of history."

For epic believers and non-believers of Stanley Kubrick's hidden agenda in his filmmaking, "Kubrick's Game" promises astonishing revelations about the true meaning of CRM-114, the real reason behind the HAL-IBM "Caesar Shift," and an explanation of the strange words spoken to young robot David in "A.I." that gave him life.

Derek Taylor Kent collaborated with Bob Glouberman and Larry Toffler in creating the diabolical puzzles the characters unravel in the story. Bob and Larry are the founders of THE FANTASTIC RACE, a company that creates massive scavenger hunts in cities throughout the world participated by tens of thousands of treasure seekers annually. Derek Taylor Kent (Writer) a multi- genre novelist received a three book deal with HarperCollins for his award winning book series "Scary School" which was penned under his pseudonym "Derek the Ghost."  His romantic-comedy script "Cupids" which was optioned by Liberty Films ("Source Code", "World of Warcraft", and "Moon") before the ink was dry on his next novel.

Derek Taylor Kent's most recent screenplay, "Naughty", was co-penned with Shawn Kittelsen, was recently picked up by Paradox Factory Productions and Without Chemicals which is a co-company deal to produce this screenplay. Shawn Kittelsen (Writer) is a former executive at DC Comics. His most recent work was "Mortal Kombat X," a bestselling digital comic series from DC Comics. "Naughty", is an Indie special effects heavy Horror/Fantasy creature film on KRAMPUS, which is currently in pre-production and scheduled to begin shooting this fall.
