Follow on Google News | GeoComm participates in first NG112 Communications Plugtest in EuropeBy: GeoComm The event, organized by ETSI and EENA (the European Emergency Number Association) GeoComm's GeoLynx Spatial Router, an EENA Next Generation 112 Long Term Definition and NENA i3-compliant ECRF/LVF and Forest Guide, was tested during the week long event. GeoLynx Spatial Router helped facilitate the testing of participants' functional elements - and standards from 3GPP, ETSI and IETF - by providing location-based call routing for emergency calls initiated by mobile devices, apps, and wireline telephones. We are proud our solutions were part of this event, and to have participated in this learning experience. Improving citizen access to emergency services is in our company's core mission, and we will continue to optimize our products to do just that. About ETSI: ETSI produces globally-applicable standards for Information and Communications Technologies (ICT), including fixed, mobile, radio, aeronautical, broadcast and internet technologies and is officially recognized by the European Union as a European Standards Organization. ETSI is an independent, not-for-profit association whose almost 800 member companies and organizations, drawn from 64 countries, determine its work program and participate directly in its work. About EENA: EENA, the European Emergency Number Association, is a Brussels-based Non-Government Organization (NGO) set up in 1999 dedicated to promoting high-quality emergency services reached by the number 112 throughout the European Union (EU). EENA serves as a discussion platform for emergency services, public authorities, decision makers, researchers, associations and solution providers with a view to improving the emergency response in accordance with citizens' requirements. EENA is also promoting the establishment of an efficient system for alerting citizens about imminent or developing emergencies. The EENA memberships include more than 1200 emergency services representatives from over 80 countries world-wide, 75 solution providers, 15 international associations/ About GeoComm: GeoComm (http://www.geo- End
