The Rainbow Fish Book Series has Sold Over 30 Million Copies to Date

    RJM Licensing, agent for NorthSouth Books, publisher of The Rainbow Fish book series is pleased to announce that Colonial Needle Company, designer and distributor of creative craft products for sewing, quilting, and needlework, has been granted needlepoint and cross-stitch licensing rights to the popular The Rainbow Fish book series.
     Colonial products featuring The Rainbow Fish, to be launched in mid-2016, will include high quality hand-painted needlepoint canvases and counted cross-stitch patterns and kits.  The finished stitchery will be ideal for framing and pillows, as well as inserts for fine leather items such as gift boxes, albums, ornaments, and snap trays that are products of Lee's Needle Arts, a Colonial brand.
     As per Colonial Needle, "We are thrilled to be able to bring the timeless message and lovely artistry of The Rainbow Fish to needlework enthusiasts. It's the perfect complement to our other licensed products, which include storybook characters by Beatrix Potter and Paddington Bear, as well as Goodnight Moon and Hadley Pottery."
         To date, The Rainbow Fish book series which was originally published in 1992 has sold over 30 million copies with an upcoming 25^th anniversary in 2017.  The Rainbow Fish series, which is ideal for licensed product for the infant to age 7 demographic, was the first book to use holographic foil which makes Rainbow Fish shimmer and mirrors his movement.  Equally important to the stories are Rainbow Fish's friends such as The Little Blue Fish, The Wise Octopus, and the Big Blue Whale which are featured along with gentle, timeless messages about sharing, friendship, and facing one's fears.  To celebrate the 25^th anniversary, a new Rainbow Fish book will be published, a costume character will visit many venues -including the White House Easter Egg Roll- and several promotions will be announced.
