Utah Council For Citizen Diplomacy Nominates Snell & Wilmer Attorney Nettie Downs To Board

SALT LAKE CITY - March 21, 2016 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce attorney Nettie Downs has been nominated to serve on the board of directors for the Utah Council For Citizen Diplomacy (UCCD).

UCCD is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting global understanding and respect between the people of Utah and other nations. UCCD is a private sector partner with the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program. Each year, UCCD welcomes nearly 500 emerging leaders from around the world to Utah for short-term professional and cultural exchanges. UCCD is a member of the National Council for International Visitors (NCIV) and the Utah chapter of the World Affairs Councils of America (WACA).

Downs concentrates her practice in corporate and securities law with an emphasis on formation, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. She received her B.A. from Brigham Young University, magna cum laude, her M.A. from University of Pennsylvania Lauder Institute, Wharton - Arts & Sciences and earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She was the executive editor for the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law.
