University Congregational Church awards first Gary Cox Sustained Service Award

WICHITA, Kan. - March 22, 2016 - PRLog -- University Congregational Church is proud to announce the creation of the Gary Cox Sustained Service Award.  This award will be presented yearly to a member of University Congregational Church who exhibits a sustained spirit of volunteerism in support of the church and local community.  Gary Cox was a beloved member of the Wichita Community who worked with many local non-profit organizations and was the minister of University Congregational Church until his death in 2006.  On February 14, 2016, this award was presented to Grace Kneil for her volunteer work in a wide variety of different areas of the church and within the Wichita Community.  Grace is a founding member of University Congregational Church, she is active with the University Congregational Church Women's Guild.  A plaque was presented to Grace Kneil and will be installed at the church and inscribed with each new receipant's name.  We look forward to rewarding our wonderful volunteers every year with the Gary Cox Sustained Service Award.  For more information, visit our website at www.ucchurch.org
