Follow on Google News | Belgium Terrorist Bombing was No Surprise - Expect MoreCol. Walter T. Richmond, author of "Hasta la Vista Europe!" warns that until Europe revises its policies, attacks like Belgium and Paris will only increase
By: Aster House Press According to Richmond, "Foreign Affairs magazine reported back in October 2015 that Belgium was 'the top European country of origin' for foreign fighters. They reported that 'Belgium saw 440 Belgian residents leave for Sunni militant organizations in Iraq and Syria in 2015.'" Richmond opined, "That was a huge red flag largely ignored by everyone." In his book, Hasta la Vista Europe, Richmond detailed some of Belium's changing demographics and related challenges. Apparently, members of the Muslim community in Belgium boldly predicted they would be the majority by the year 2030. Richmond agreed, noting that for many years in a row, the name "Mohammed" was the most common baby name in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. "What happened at the airport and subway in Belgium is horrible. It is tragic. But for authorities to act as though it was some sort of 'surprise' is just ingenuous," said Richmond. He explained that, "Less than a year ago, Lebanese Minister of Education, Elias Bousaab, warned British Prime Minister David Cameron that 2% of the 'migrants' flooding Europe were radicalized. He also said most had, and would, continue to enter via Turkey into Greece. So, using the Minister's estimates, somewhere around 20,000 to 30,000 radicals entered Europe. After Paris, and now Belgium, people need to demand that Minister Bousaab's warning be revisited and heeded." While details about the terrorist attack continue to emerge, Col. Richmond's specific predictions and concerns about Europe are detailed in his book Hasta la vista Europe. For more information visit http://www.asterhousepress.com/ End
