Newk's Eatery in Summerville "Q's" Up to Raise Funds for Local Children's Hospital

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - March 24, 2016 - PRLog -- The grills at Newk's Eatery will be sizzling starting April 1^st for the restaurant's month-long "Q for a Cause" Fundraiser. Newk's will be serving up a record number of Newk's Q sandwiches - the most popular item on the Newk's menu - to raise support for the Medical University of South Carolina's new Children's Hospital and Women's Pavilion. One dollar from every Newk's Q sandwich purchased at the Summerville restaurant from April 1^st - 30^th will be used to expand MUSC's offerings for local families.

The MUSC Children's Hospital and Women's Pavilion will provide more beds for intensive care unit (ICU) patients, neonatal ICU patients, acute care patients as well as new and expectant mothers.  All patient rooms will be private, equipped with furniture to comfortably accommodate short or long term stays by patients and their families.  Each patient floor will have light-filled play spaces, respite areas and shared spaces designed to promote a supportive community of care.  MUSC's commitment is to ensure that every child, regardless of background or finances, who walks through the doors of MUSC Children's Hospital will receive the very best care possible.  The support of the community is needed to help MUSC reach its goals and provide a world-class facility for the children of the Lowcountry.
