Farmers Agent Kathi McArthur Thanks Teachers

SILVERDALE, Wash. - May 12, 2016 - PRLog -- America's Teachers live and breathe education every day. They give their time, talent, financial resources and knowledge so our children walk away smarter, more confident and better prepared for the future.

Inspired by their great work and tireless dedication, Farmers Insurance created the Thank America's Teachers initiative.

Throughout the year, Thank America's Teachers and Farmers Insurance will donate more than $1 million in educational grants to our nation's Teachers, supporting proposals and exciting projects that make a difference. This year, 180 Teachers will receive $2,500 grants to fund projects in the classroom.

For those Teachers who dream of making an even bigger impact, Farmers will award six $100,000 educational grants!

·         Teachers can submit their proposals for educational programs that better prepare students for the future and could win a grant of up to $100,000!

·         Vote for a Teacher. Your votes have the power to help us give away over $1 million dollars in educational grants throughout the year - 180 teachers will receive $2,500 and six will be awarded $100,000.

Indoor equestrian learning facility for special needs children and adults

Teen driving training course

We've all had a Teacher in our lives that have inspired us, instilled confidence in us, and helped mold us into the people we are today. Everyone has a story to tell of their favorite teacher, the one that went above and beyond the call of duty. We're indebted to these teachers, and we believe they deserve our gratitude, no matter how long it's been since you have seen them.

Thanking America's teachers is more than about just showing our appreciation. It's also about giving them the ability to make a big impact in their classrooms and community.

Kathi McArthur is a Farmers Insurance Agent in Kitsap County, Washington, with multiple locations to serve her clients. Her prior experience includes working for her family in insurance sales giving her a solid background for becoming an Insurance Agent.  She has won numerous awards including Championship, Blue Vase and Toppers Club. Kathi is heavily involved in her community as a member of the Silverdale Chamber of Commerce and donating time and money to several local schools. Kathi is also involved with Cell Phones for Soldiers, a program that collects old cell phones to exchange for minutes for soldiers to use to call their family.
