TAMPA, Fla. - March 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Since fall of 2015, STEMPilot (www.STEMPilot.com) has installed 60 of the company's innovative in-classroom Edustation flight simulators and sit-in cockpit simulators, along with instruction for teachers for providing  STEMPilot's STEM-based curriculum to students in K to 12  classrooms across Florida.

In Pasco County, 26 STEMPilot Edustations and sit-in cockpit simulators with double and triple screens, have been installed in schools across the County. In Hudson, 5 Edustations and 4 sit-in flight simulators were installed in Hudson Middle and High Schools. In Land O' Lakes' Sunlake High School's Aeronautical Academy, 3 Pilot Pro simulators were installed while 1 Edustation was installed at Sanders Memorial Elementary School.  One Edustation and 1 Pilot Pro were installed in both Pine View Middle School and Charles S. Rushe Middle School.

At Pinellas Secondary School in Pinellas Park, STEMPilot has installed 5 Edustations while the Pinellas County School Board has also installed 4 Edustations and 4 Pilot Pros in other schools county-wide.

In Tampa, an Edustation and Pilot Pro were installed in Madison Middle School while 5 Edustations were installed in Lockhart Elementary School. One Edustation and 4 Pilot Pro cockpit flight simulators were installed in Monroe Middle School while 4 triple-screen sit-in Pilot Pro simulators were installed in Robinson High School. In Zephyrhills, 1 Edustation was installed in Woodland Elementary School, while 2 Pilot Pro sit-in cockpit flight simulators were installed in Zephyrhills High School.

In Orlando at the February 2016 TSA-Technology Students Association gathering, students and teachers were very excited, and lined up, to experience how STEMPilot Edustations provide the highly-personalized, 'hands-on' experience for learning STEM principles.

At Boynton Beach Community High School a dual-screen Pilot Pro flight simulator was installed in the Aerospace Academy in February. In Homestead High School, 3 previously-installed double screen sit-in airplane cockpit flight simulators were recently upgraded to triple screens.

"Our Edustations," explains Jay LeBoff, creator and owner of STEMPilot, "allow elementary to high school students the physical experience of flight simulation for all types of aircrafts while they apply STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, plus history, topography, geography, meteorology, and informational writing. They are learning all of this while they are fulfilling many of N.G.S.S. and Common Core's educational standards.

These in-classroom Edustations offer a student the highly-individualized, hands-on experience of sitting in a simulated cockpit and navigating, and "flying", a small plane, jet or helicopter. With a Windows PC workstation, yoke, throttle, rudder, pedals and a 32" High Definition wide screen display, Edustations allow each student to personally experience all the mechanics, theories and skillful techniques aircraft pilots must utilize to safely maneuver and succeed in the 'often-challenging' landing of their aircraft."

The Edustations emphasize meaningful project-based learning that help develop individual students' problem-solving, collaborative, and critical thinking abilities as they work in teams. Through pilot-focused flight simulators, students learn about potential careers in aerospace by exploring such topics as aeronautics, the aerospace environment, aerospace physiology, air navigation, and the physics and operations of aircraft. Through STEMPilot's rigorous curriculum and tutored missions, they are also learning life skills that are relevant in today's and tomorrow's worlds."

STEMPilot's Edustation cockpit flight simulators are designed to teach students STEM through aeronautics-focused classes. "Teachers, who need no aviation experience, receive the STEMPilot curriculum, tutored missions and worksheets to teach students from 1st through 12th grades," explains LeBoff. "This curriculum embraces geometry, trigonometry, physics, meteorology, geography, topography, algebra, and Earth science while helping students learn to solve complex problems using multiple math and science disciplines."
