AMD Partners to Create Opportunity for Minority Firms in Healthcare

MIRAMAR, Fla. - March 29, 2016 - PRLog -- American Medical Depot (AMD) is proud to announce the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) and the Healthcare Supplier Diversity Alliance (HSDA). The official signing, hosted by the Minority Business Development Agency in Atlanta, took place at Georgia Tech University in Atlanta, GA on March 24, 2016. The MOU furthers the mission of increasing supplier diversity in the field of healthcare and encourages collaboration on a national level.

As co-founders of the organization and a client and frequent collaborator with MBDA, AMD worked with the MBDA Leadership to communicate the common mission to create opportunity for minority-owned Healthcare related firms and the commercial sector through education, access, and teaming. HSDA member firms are provided access to various resources that create innovative supply chain solutions and result in cost savings for customers. This provides commercial sector partners with increased market share, strategic market advantages, and a solid ROI.

Said AMD's President of Government Business, Beverly Kuykendall, "We are constantly looking for new opportunities to leverage diversity, experience, and knowledge to deliver a level of service to the healthcare industry that surpasses the expectations of the end consumer. Our partnership with the Department of Commerce and the Healthcare Supplier Diversity Alliance enables us to expand that dialogue and bring in valuable new perspectives from minority-owned businesses. Thank you to Director Castillo and the Department of Commerce MBDA for allowing AMD to be of service to minority firms in this regard."
