"Mark has a complete inability to leave well enough alone," said Mr. Gruber. "In working with him on a vision and plans for Habitat for Humanity, Mark was always pushing, always asking, 'what if we could rebuild communities, instead of just houses?'" Among numerous professional honors, Mr. Shank has been named to D Magazine's annual list of the Best Lawyers in Dallas each year since 2001.
