Pet Wants Comes to West Columbus

Deerwester and her long-time partner Tina have three dogs - 9-year-old Schnoodle Ringo, 7-year-old Chihuahua Tica and 4-year-old Dachshund Millie - as well as 19-year-old Quaker Parrot GiGi. Deerwester is a volunteer with Rescue Me Ohio, the state's largest internet-based organization supporting animal rescues and shelters in Ohio with supporting education and information regarding pet welfare.

Prior to opening Pet Wants Columbus North, Deerwester owned a downtown Columbus Subway restaurant. Before that she owned Once Upon a Pet, a pet supply store that bought and sold gently used equipment and supported the local animal rescue community.
