Kent State College of Business Administration Student Recognized as PNC Student-Athlete Achiever

KENT, Ohio - April 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Kailyn-Naddiyah Cross, Kent State University College of Business Administration sophomore, was recognized as a PNC Student-Athlete Achiever for 2016.

"I am very thankful to PNC for recognizing student-athletes achievements," said Cross. "I also would like to thank Pi Sigma Epsilon, the Kent State Women's Basketball program and the College of Business Administration for providing me with multiple opportunities to become involved and thus be nominated for this award."

Cross is a managerial marketing major with a minor in human resource management. She plays as a guard for the Kent State Women's Basketball team, where she started 15 games and played in 30 games during her freshman year.  As a high school senior, she was a McDonald's All-American nominee, District All-Star and helped Centerville High School to both a district and conference championship.

PNC Bank partners with Kent State Athletics to recognize student-athletes who display well-rounded achievement through leadership in the classroom, community and competition.

Mark Polatajko, Kent State vice president for finance and administration; Joel Nielsen, Kent State director of athletics; and Drew Martin, PNC executive vice president for Northeast Ohio presented seven student-athletes with plaques during halftime of the men's basketball game on March 1.

"Our students continuously excel in many areas, including their studies, athletics and student organizations," said Deborah F. Spake, dean of the College of Business Administration. "It gives us great pride to see our students to be honored for their many accomplishments."
