April 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Kent State University College of Business Administration students Randy Roland and Sarah Cook were recognized for their leadership in Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE), a national co-ed professional fraternity for sales, marketing and sales management, at the PSE Annual National Sales and Marketing Convention in Milwaukee, Wis.

"Kent State was represented by 13 PSE students and one Kent State alumna at the annual PSE Pro/Am Conference and Competition," said Ellen Daniels, marketing and entrepreneurship professor at the College of Business Administration. "I am always proud to accompany such terrific student representatives to these events. In this case, the PSE students volunteered many hours to prepare for the event and spent their spring break representing Kent State in Milwaukee. That's a testament to the professionalism and commitment of our Kent State students."

Roland, sophomore entrepreneurship major, was awarded the $1,500 Multiview Scholarship. This scholarship is for students who embody the fearless spirit of the Multiview Inside Sales Specialist. These students take initiative, love a challenge and thrive in an environment that fosters creativity. Roland is also the President of the Zeta Xi Chapter of PSE at Kent State.

Cook, sophomore finance major, was chosen to join the PSE Future Leaders Program. This program is for freshman and sophomore members who display potential to become great future chapter leaders. Cook was awarded a PSE National Convention registration package and a $100 travel reimbursement.

The schedule of the convention consisted of multiple workshops, panel discussions, three general sessions, chapter roundtables, training sessions, an awards banquet and the Pro-Am-Sell-A-Thon competition, a year-long sales competition.

The main purpose of the Pro-Am-Sell-A-Thon is to train students in all aspects of business-to-business sales process and to award the top true "students" of sales. The competition is held at Pi Sigma Epsilon's fall regional conference and the annual Pi Sigma Epsilon's National Sales and Marketing Convention.

Miami University, Central Michigan University, The Ohio State University and University of Toledo are among the 37 schools that attended the national conference.

The Pi Sigma Epsilon National Convention was held from March 20-25 in Milwaukee, Wis.
