Debate on music and Its effectiveness to relate to humans in behavior "Music The Sixth Sense"

Music has been a controversial topic as to its importance through out time. Therefore the understanding of music dynamics has never truly been adapted nor adopted by society as being a subject to be respected acknowledge and transferred to other generations in a productive educational manner. The philosophy of music in its purest forms is not among the curriculum in early education nor middle and high school levels either. In fact music has been eliminated from most public school programs because of financial cutbacks. Yet the importance of the role music takes in our individual lives as well as our lives as a whole has not been seriously considered. Throughout history music and it super natural dynamics have been put through the test and has been embraced as the "language all mankind understands". Yet as a society knowingly we still abuse the concept of music by the use of misusing it while displaying it in unnatural forms through profane lyrical content. Music should be embraced as a "sixth sense". It has been proven music has the ability to heal. There are many documented medical accounts of the power of music in assisting in the patients healing process.

Lets take a look at how and why music has the ability to resonate with human feelings. The study of music and emotion has revealed that it is a branch of music psychology with numerous areas of study including the nature of emotional reactions to music characteristics of the listener and may determine which emotions are felt and which components or compositions or performance may elicit certain reactions. The field study draws upon and has significant implications for such areas as philosophy, musicology, music theory,and aesthetics, musical composition and performance. With the knowledge of this study we can then adapt to the idea that the concept of music is most profound in its relationship to the human emotion which comes directly from the heart. If music does come from the heart then is it possible in expressing our heart through the creativity of music we now convey our influence on society through human interaction and interpretation. Therefore if music carries negative lyrical content is it then possible our society will wear the scars we as a society will bare by not allowing this knowledge to go unveiled. Music clearly through these studies should unveil a "sixth sense" which we all contribute and receive on a daily basis.
