The Adventures Of Supercaptainbraveman Children's Book Series Launches On April 23rd

LOS ANGELES - April 7, 2016 - PRLog -- The Adventures of SuperCaptainBraveMan, a ground-breaking new children's picture book series, is scheduled to launch on April 23^rd with Book 1: A Day at the Park.

Written by parents Jennifer Norman and Paul Norman and illustrated by professional nurse-turned-digital-artist Victor Lodevico, the SuperCaptainBraveMan series tells the heartfelt story of a specially- challenged young superhero who helps children discover their own inner courage and strength.

The SuperCaptainBraveMan character is inspired by the authors' son, Kyle, who lives with a rare genetic disorder requiring round-the-clock care. "To us, kids with special needs such as Kyle are like all kinds of superheroes rolled into one," comments co-author Paul Norman. "The SuperCaptainBraveMan series is intended to help parents encourage their kids to appreciate those with different physical, behavioral or neurological challenges. We want to make superheroes out of all kids so they'll grow up to have really strong core values."

"In Book 1: A Day at the Park, we start off by introducing Kyle along with some of the special equipment he uses every day. We also introduce a girl named Emily in a wheelchair and show how she becomes friends with other able-bodied kids," commented co-author, Jennifer Norman.

Future books will introduce subjects of autism, doctor visits, and other pediatric challenges that families face. The series is written for parents and educators to read to children 3-8 years old. The Normans' mission is to create a groundswell of compassion and acceptance among kids of all abilities in society.

The Adventures of SuperCaptainBraveMan, Book 1: A Day at the Park, is available for sale in hardcover and ebook through supercaptainbraveman.com, Amazon and iBooks. A portion of book proceeds will go to support The United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
