Philippines starts administering the world's first dengue vaccine to high-risk children

BANGALORE, India - April 9, 2016 - PRLog -- World Health Organization informs every year 390 million people are infected with dengue fever & it kills as many as 25,000 people. According to Sanofi Almost 70% occurs in Asia. In 2003 Philippines reporting 200,000 cases.

Dengue is the world's most common mosquito-borne viruses, with severe symptoms including headaches, rashes and leaking blood vessels.

This Historic Vaccine took 20 years $1.8 billion to develop. Philippines is the first country & its Health Department has launched a school-based immunization program in highly affected areas.Philippine can expect 24% reduction in dengue cases over the next five years.
