Perkins will discuss how Nevada's residential real estate market and court systems have been entangled in high-profile litigation regarding a provision of Nevada law involving homeowners' associations and "super-priority liens." Attendees will receive an overview of this complex and hotly contested litigation, its impact upon the numerous stakeholders, the legal issues involved and what a final resolution might look like.

A frequent author and speaker on HOA issues, Perkins has written for and been quoted in such publication and news outlets as Law360, Nevada Bankers Association, ABA's Corporate Counsel publication and Attorney at Law Magazine. One of her most recent publications is titled "HOA Superpriority Litigation Intensifies in Nevada," which was published in Law360. She has also been a guest lecturer for Exit Realty Number One and completed other seminars for Lorman Education Services, where she spoke on a variety of real estate and construction topics.

At Snell & Wilmer, Perkins' practice is concentrated in business and commercial litigation, with an emphasis in financial services litigation and construction litigation. Specifically, Perkins defends financial institutions in claims involving fraud, bad faith lending, and common law contracts and torts. She pursues and defends claims on behalf of owners and contractors in mechanic's lien actions, lien priority disputes, delay and impact claims, breach of contract and lease, unjust enrichment and other actions seeking damages in state and federal litigation, arbitration and mediation.
