BTRA announces the retirement of Dr. A.N.Desai, Dr. A. K. Mukhopadhyay taking over the charge

MUMBAI, India - April 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Bombay Textile Research Association (BTRA) announced and conducted the farewell ceremony in the honour of Dr. A.N. Desai, retiring as a Director, dedicating 36 years to the organization.

Under Dr. Desai's contributions and leadership BTRA was revamped and saw the turnaround for setting higher benchmark for performance. Centre of Excellence for Geotech has been a part of one of the major achievements. He served as a Director for BTRA for sixteen years. Dr. Desai has held positions of increasing responsibilities and has been instrumental in taking the lead in various innovations and has successful achievements of the same. Attention to details and pursuit of excellence led BTRA to greater heights during his tenure.

Dr. Anjan K. Mukhopadhyay who was the Joint Director, will take over from April 1, 2016 in the new role of Director- BTRA.

Various members and colleagues from BTRA, attended a farewell function. Mr. M.L. Jhunjunwala- Chairman and Mr. Narendra Dalmia- Deputy Chairman of the Governing Council - BTRA were also present for the occasion.

"The day has come to facilitate the passing of baton to Dr. Mukhopadhyay, who in a short period has very ably embraced responsibilities of BTRA day to day management" said Mr. N. Dalmia.

Dr. A.N. Desai will however continue to serve BTRA December 2016 as a Mentor guiding the new leadership at BTRA.
