Founder of Brides Across America, Heidi Janson says "I have wanted to include first Responders as a part of our giving and it really seems like now is the right time." She goes on to say, "we want to honor those who are working hard saving lives here in the States and continue to honor our military fighting for our freedom here and abroad". Whether it's for love of country or love at the altar, our front lines deserve our very best. Brides Across America and its partner salons have donated over 15,000 wedding gowns and gifted 20 weddings since its inception in 2008. The program reduces stress in planning a wedding, financial relief; (average wedding gowns cost with accessories $2000) and transforms lives. How to qualify and register for an Operation Wedding Gown Event: For more information on how to qualify, locate a salon near you, or to register for an event go to www.bridesacrossamerica.com. First responders eligible for this event include bride's currently in the police force, firefighters, certified first responders and EMT's. Military brides must bring proper identification along with deployment papers to be presented the day of the event. First Responders must bring a valid work ID the day of the event.
