Follow on Google News | East Kent publisher sponsors local orchestraThanet publisher Ozaru Books has announced its support for Oare String Orchestra's 2017 season.
By: Ozaru Books The orchestra, conducted by Peter Aviss, has been performing in Faversham and the rest of East Kent since 1982. It is known for the high quality of its concerts, as well as its eclectic repertoire, including many modern string works that are otherwise unjustly neglected. Ozaru Books are based in the Thanet village of St Nicholas-at- As well as the East Kent links, Ozaru Books also focuses on East Prussia - particularly the exodus of refugees at the end of World War II, and East Asia - particularly translations from Japanese. Their latest book, which has just been launched, is "The Body as a Vessel" by Mikami Kayo: a translation of a scholarly work about the avantgarde Japanese dance form Butoh. In a new departure for the publisher, it is a hardback printed in full colour throughout. Oare String Orchestra's next concert is on 23 April 2016 in Faversham, and to celebrate the fact that this is also World Book Day, Ozaru Books will attend with a full selection of their books.
