Susan Worline, M.Ed & CEO of FLying For Hope, NFP is pleased to announce Dave Savini as MC for their 3rd Annual Gala and Silent Auction, taking place this Saturday evening from 6:00pm to 11:00pm (cst) at the luxurious Hotel Arista, in Naperville IL. Dave Savini is the investigative reporter at CBS2 Chicago. He is an award winning 25-year tv news veteran. Among his accolades are 14 Emmys and he was voted best reporter by the Associated Press five times. He's won the National Edward R. Murrow and the Columbia University Alfred Dupont Award, the equivalent of the Pulitzer Prize for TV Journalism. He has two children and volunteers his time for many charities focusing on pediatric brain cancer research, helping veterans, people with disabilities and promoting organ donation. Savini grew up in Chicago and lives in Naperville, IL. WHAT: The black tie optional event, themed "Spring Fever", kicks off this red-carpeted event at 6:30pm CST with cocktail hours, horderves, dinner, dancing, 50/50 raffle, and both a silent and live auctions, with music by one of Chicago's leading DJ's Marlow Foxx-Nieves with Merge Entertainment. CHARITY: The Gala's event will feature exciting silent auction items and live auction items such as trips to the CMA's, AMA's, ESPY, restaurant and hotel packages, spas, and much more. HOW TO SUPPORT + HOTEL INFORMATION: "This past year has been a tremendous year for Flying For Hope," said Worline. "We have made an impact in so many states with the services we provide and through word of mouth, especially with several referrals from the American Cancer Society. We have so much to celebrate at this year's gala, but with growth and exposure to our services always come the need for more resources. We encourage the community to attend our gala or donate, for our individual and families depend on it," Worline added. PURPOSE: Proceeds from the Gala, which is Flying For Hope's main source of funding, support all the individuals and families we serve. As a true not-for-profit in the Chicagoland area, the entire team works pro-bono to serve our clients in need. Since its inception in 2012, we have served over 50 individuals in need, connecting them with their loved ones in the event of a crisis situation. Many of our customers utilize our services for medical emergencies, funerals, end of life situations, natural disasters, etc. About Flying For Hope: Flying For Hope, was founded in August 2012 by Susan A. Worline. Susan is a wife, mother, and author who works full time as the Director of Business Development for a local hospice company, Peace Hospice & Palliative care in Naperville, IL, she also runs her charity as well. In her spare time and with the support of her team and family, she operates Flying For Hope, volunteers at her Church as a catechist, created a networking group called LMM, and is on the board for another NFP called the Geneva Community Chest. FFH also hosts an annual golf outing, shoe drive, and participates in the float your boat charity event in Naperville.
