NEW YORK - April 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Responding to recent activities by Pope Francis and the Vatican, Hasta la Vista EUROPE! author Col. Walter T. Richmond, who covered the Vatican-refugee connection in his research, was highly critical of the Vatican's lack of humanitarian commitment. In his book, Col. Richmond revealed the immense wealth of the Vatican while criticizing the Vatican's cherry-picking relief efforts. Concurrently, while only taking in several Christian Syrians, the Pope was seen cajoling the rest of the world to house millions of refugees.

Richmond had wondered why the Pope, as the head of an enormous Christian Church, wasn't committing more resources to save his own Christian refugees. Now Col. Richmond says he isn't the least bit surprised that Pope Francis announced last week that the Vatican would provide shelter for a dozen refugees. "Maybe he read my book and was shamed into taking action.  After all he is sitting on top of far more money than even Donald Trump, and yet the Pope is  doing next to nothing to help," quipped Richmond.

It was recently reported by the New York Post that, as part of the refugee deal, Pope Francis and the Vatican reneged on their offer to shelter several Christian refugees due to issues with paperwork, and that only a dozen Muslims would be assisted by the Vatican.

Asked about the controversy about Muslims vs. Christian refugees, Richmond replied that "apparently the Vatican used a random selection process to choose who they would help, and since the vast majority of refugees are Muslims, the fact those picked by the Vatican are 100% Muslim is not surprising."

What is a surprise, according to Richmond, is that the Vatican somehow got only "families with children." Richmond  stated, "That's statistically highly improbable since the vast majority of refugees are fighting age males."  Backed by recent United Nations and German government statistics, Richmond quoted The Jewish Press which reported that "the United Nations Refugee Agency revealed that 75 percent of 'refugees' were young men."

"So tell me how the Vatican does a lottery selection process and ends up only with families with young children. Now that is just pure fix-tion," said Richmond.

Col. Walter T. Richmond details many examples of disparity in connection with the European refugee crisis in his book Hasta la vista Europe. For more information, visit http://www.asterhousepress.com/
