The Balancing Act® Celebrates Mother's Day by Surprising Two Moms with a Mexican Vacation

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - April 26, 2016 - PRLog -- The Balancing Act® celebrates mothers everywhere with a very special episode dedicated to Mother's Day. The show concludes the "One in a Million Moms" Giveaway and airs Friday, April 29, 2016 at 7:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on Lifetime®, with an encore presentation on Friday, May 6, 2016.

Mothers come in all shapes and sizes and take on so many different roles: aunt, grandmother, sister, neighbor, friend and more. The Balancing Act honors all the women in this role, but takes extra time this Friday to recognize two South Florida moms facing significant challenges.

Carolina Menasche is a 31-year-old single mother with a special needs daughter. Six-year-old Maia has autism, but that's not slowing her down. Carolina has been diligently providing therapy and support since her daughter was first diagnosed at 18 months, and now she's both verbal and social. Carolina also manages a major law firm, finds the time to work out and volunteer, and supports her divorced mother who lives with her!

The Balancing Act's second special guest is Christie Voss, a single mother with two daughters, Sophia and Emily. They're happy, healthy and the delight of Christie's life. She's raising them to appreciate nature, help others and love each other. While these are probably common goals with most mothers, Christie is particularly motivated to instill these characteristics in her daughters now - because she is battling stage four breast cancer. She is aggressively and functionally fighting the cancer with non-invasive therapies, but if they are not successful, she wants to ensure her girls become strong women. Due to the illness, Christie has had to dial back her work schedule, but she still faces each day with a smile and positive attitude.
