Follow on Google News | Badass Poodle Website Sets the Record Straight on Foo-Foo DogsPoodles in the Iditarod? Poodle herding dogs? Poodle gun dogs?... Come on! It's all true, says new website BadassPoodle.com
By: Badass Poodle The poodle is the third most popular dog in the world (right behind the Labrador retriever and the German shepherd) according to FCI, who has compiled figures for dog registrations in 25 countries including the United States, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. "It's no wonder that the poodle is so popular," says Zoey James, founder of Badass Poodle. "They're incredibly versatile, intelligent, rugged and agile. Poodles have run the Iditarod sled race in Alaska, and are still actively used today for herding and tracking; retrieving water fowl; and to find, flush and retrieve upland game birds. They make excellent guide and service dogs, are exceptional circus performers, and were part of the Armed Services War Dogs program in World War II". James continues, "I was tired of all the foo-foo poodle stereotypes. People are amazed when they learn about all the different tasks that poodles have performed since their early days, over two millennia ago, as retrieving water dogs in the marshes of Eurasia. By taking a humorous and light-hearted approach to our website, we hope to get more folks to pay attention." The Badass Poodle website features all-things-poodle: James adds, "And in keeping with the humorous bent of our new site, you'll be interested to know that the poodle has what can only be described as the best sense of humor in the canine world." Established in 2016, Badass Poodle's motto is "Setting the record straight on poodles -- The world's most misunderstood dog." Visit Badass Poodle at http://www.badasspoodle.com End
