The Evaluation Risk for Sexual Violence Using the RSVP training program is primarily for criminal justice, mental health, and victim support professionals - those who work with (alleged) perpetrators and victims of sexual violence.

"In correctional settings, about 20% of adult male offenders are known or suspected to have perpetrated sexual violence," explains Dr. Hart. "Because of the high prevalence of sexual violence and its potential to escalate to life-threatening violence, specialized training is essential for professionals who work with offenders or victims."

This professional online training program will specifically cover:

* The three major approaches to risk assessment: unstructured professional judgement, actuarial risk assessment, and structured professional judgement,

* Sexual violence risk assessment procedures, focusing on the RSVP,

* Administering the RSVP, including: interviewing; reviewing case history information; item coding; reaching conclusory opinions regarding risk; and use of the RSVP in risk management,

* Scoring the RSVP, including completion of practice cases,

* Applying the RSVP to special issues, including: diversity (age, gender, and culture) and report writing and expert testimony.
