Follow on Google News | Step Up to Fight Hate at the 16th Annual Diversity Stride Walk in Jersey CityJoin hundreds of change agents throughout the tri-state area on Sunday, June 26, at the 16th annual Diversity Stride Walk to help raise funds in support of much-needed diversity education programs to fight hate. Participation will have a direct impact on tomorrow's leaders, helping to educate, empower, and make youth more employable through the organization's Lead for Diversity Institute. This program was launched in 1995 and has more than 3,000 graduates. The program graduates have the capacity to reach 20,000 students in our schools districts each year through their diversity and inclusion (D&I) Action Plans created with their teams during the institute. "Proceeds from Diversity Stride allow us to demonstrate to youth the value of self-respect and acceptance. In addition, the students are prepared to enter the workforce and navigate some of the complexities of diversity and inclusion," says American Conference on Diversity President and CEO Elizabeth Williams-Riley. The fun-filled day will begin at 10:30 a.m., with the step-off at 11:30 a.m., at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ.
