The First Tee of Orange County Announces Fourth Annual Pro-Am

Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club to host premier fundraising tournament to help improve young lives through golf

ANAHEIM, Calif. - May 3, 2016 - PRLog -- The First Tee of Orange County (http://www.thefirsttee.org/) (TFTOC), a nonprofit committed to providing youth with translatable life skills through golf, will proudly host its fourth annual Pro-Am on Monday, August 29, at Coto de Caza Golf and Racquet Club (http://www.clubcorp.com/Clubs/Coto-de-Caza-Golf-Racquet-Club). Proceeds will benefit TFTOC, enabling young people to be successful on and off the golf course. The charity event will help raise funds for youth golf programs and education.

"We are so excited to be returning to one of Southern California's most sought-after 36-hole courses for our annual signature event," said Gail Courtney, executive director of TFTOC. "Coto de Caza is a highly regarded and award-winning course and tournament participants can look forward to a fun-filled and rewarding day at one of Orange County's top golf destinations."

The tournament will begin at 10 a.m. with registration, followed by a shotgun start at noon. The scramble format event will offer amateur golfers the opportunity to experience a beautiful private course alongside 44 golf professionals - competing for their share of a $12,000 purse. Each pro will be paired with a foursome. Golfers will also receive forecaddie services from TFTOC youth participants, who will be supporting each group and demonstrating what TFTOC has taught them about life and golf.  The golf event will conclude with a reception and dinner at 5 p.m., including a silent auction, award ceremony and speeches from youth participants.

"Having been part of The First Tee of Orange County as a board member and a sponsor since its inception in 2013, I'm looking forward once again to spearheading the Pro-Am and helping raise funds for our life-changing program," said Al Morris, president of Worldwide Golf Enterprises, the parent company of Roger Dunn Golf Shops, and board vice president of TFTOC.  "As tournament committee chair, I urge the community to take full advantage of two spectacular layouts while supporting our one-of-a-kind organization that helps to instill life skills in Orange County youth."

Sponsorship packages for the tournament range from $350 to $25,000. Individual player fee is $400. Swag bags with an approximate retail value of $500 will be generously provided by Roger Dunn Golf Shops.  For questions regarding event sponsorship, contact Gail Courtney at gailc@thefirstteeorangecounty.org or call 714-614-2839.
