NEW YORK - May 5, 2016 - PRLog -- start 1. Mychaeltodd: Darlene what is the first thing you want people to know about the book and you: A Mother's Manual?
2. Darlene: I saw a need and I want to help and to share vital information with mothers- and fathers, grandparents and guardians who are raising children….and I have over 25 years of experience as a mother. I have taught and learned some very valuable lessons.
3. Mychaeltodd: What is the most important piece of information you want to share with parents?
4. Darlene: Never give up on your children, your children will always need your love, hugs and encouragement. You are not just "having a baby". You will always be their mother.
5. Mychaeltodd: What's one of the most important instructions in the book?
6. Darlene: There are over 100 passages of instructions in A Mother's Manual. One of my favorite: Continually reinforce the attribute of respect. Respect is a moral requirement that ensures the proper regard for everyone and everything.
7. Mychaeltodd: What information do you share in the book about getting children to graduate? Moving on to attend college and graduate?
8. Darlene: I have four children. Perry, Crystal, Bianca, and Treasure. From birth you have to be your child's first teacher. Teach them to read, write and talk before they enter school, get them excited about learning! You have to wholly (more than food, shelter and clothing) nurture your children. Give them strong self-esteem. All of these are keys to their success in school and in life.
9. Mychaeltodd: How do you stay supportive in their lives when they become older?
10. Darlene: You have to be the biggest cheerleader for your children, when they take their first poop in the potty, you have to be a cheerleader! Show up at school and participate- PTA, teacher conferences, games, talent shows, and be excited! Keep your eyes on your children, (their development, their physical, emotional and mental health) at all times.
