DEESIDE, Wales - May 6, 2016 - PRLog -- The Chairman of Flintshire, Ray Hughes visited local business Russell IPM at Deeside industrial park on Wednesday. The Councillor was given a special tour of the factory and a behind the scenes look at Russell's latest innovations in product development.

The visit was organised following Councillor Ray's attendance at last year's special charity day where Russell IPM celebrated raising £100,000 for Leukaemia and Lymphoma research, Ray had just taken on his new role as Chairman and gave a fantastic speech to all 50 employees at the company. Therefore, Councillor Ray had come full circle, keen to learn more about the company, he returned to Russell before his time as Chairman comes to end later this month.

The Russell IPM foundation was set up by the Directors of the company after their grandson, Callum, was diagnosed with leukaemia at a young age. Shakir and Diana Al-Zaidi set up the foundation after watching Callum's inspirational ordeal and were moved to raise awareness of leukaemia and lymphoma, support research and to help those affected by it in the future.

Russell IPM welcomed Councillor Ray back with open arms as they were just as keen to learn about his year as Chairman and all the charity work he himself had completed during his time on the council.
