Follow on Google News | 1st Korea - India Friendship Quiz CompetitionLargest Quiz Competition for School Students on international topic was organised by Korean Cultural Centre India. 12,492 students from 50 Schools from Delhi NCR participated in the competition.
By: Brannia The Winners were awarded by H.E. Hyun CHO, Ambassador, Republic of Korea. The top four winners got a free trip each to Korea for 6 Days and 5 Nights. Rest of the 14 winners got total cash prize of Rupees Forty Three thousand, trophies and certificates. Addressing the students H.E Hyun CHO said that India and Korea, both the countries have many similarities. Both are passionate about growth and success. In India, Yoga is practiced for inner peace similarly in Korea Taekwondo is practiced for concentration. The entire competition was held in 40 days. It was organized in three phases. 1st phase was held in Schools, 2nd at KCC, centre and grand final round at NCUI. Varun Khurana from Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi grabbed the 1st place, Second was won by Ashwini Gurung of Convent of Jesus & Mary, Bangla Sahib Marg, Delhi. On third place stood Parthiv Sarkar fromBVB Mehta Vidyalaya, KG Marg, Delhi and forth position was grabbed by Paurav Gulati of St. Mark's Sr. Sec. Public School, Meera Bagh, Delhi. Kim Kum Pyoung - director Korean Cultural Centre, India congratulated the winner and thanked everyone for their putting their effort and making the event successful. End
