Trial Version of Labor Management Information System Launched

NEW DELHI - May 17, 2016 - PRLog -- Mr. Rajeev Pratap Rudy, Minister MSDE launched the trial version of the single window online platform for labor market information known as the Labor Market Information System (LMIS) on the 10^th of May, 2016. This system has been launched to further the skill-India campaign launched by the Government of India.

This system was designed by Silver Touch Technologies Limited with an aim of providing employers access to area-wise details on the skilled workers across the country. The aim is to offer all the tools, resources and necessary help to improve the skills of the people in India, and increase employment opportunities. It also serves as a marketplace for those looking out for certain skills, and the skilled place to connect and collaborate. The website will also put up the latest schemes and courses that might attract the attention of the skilled people, or those looking out to improve their skills.

"We launched the Beta-version before launching the final version. We are planning to run this trial version for two months so that we can improve the website based on the feedback or complaints we get during this period. The National Skill Development Mission was launched last year on July 15^th with an aim to improve the formal vocational skills in India, and increase the percentage of skilled workforce in India. The final version of the website will be launched in July on the National Skills Day.
