Follow on Google News | Carondelet Community Betterment Federation Announces 28th Annual Concert SeriesMore than 20 concerts to be held this summer at four parks in the Carondelet neighborhood!
By: The Carondelet Community Betterment Federation Beginning with the first Sunday in June and ending in mid-August, Sunday concerts will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Carondelet Park at 3900 Holly Hills. Each week will feature a different variety of music from Jazz and Swing to Pop and Rhythm and Blues. Other activities will also be featured during the concerts including, children' story time book-readings with the St. Louis Public Library during concert intermission and more. Additional Carondelet Summer Concerts in the Park will be held on Monday evenings in June from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in South St. Louis Square Park at 7700 Pennsylvania. On Monday evenings in July the series features bluegrass in Bellerive Park at 5570 S. Broadway. Concerts will also be held on Tuesday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Fanetti park in the Ivory Triangle at the corner of Michigan and Ivory Avenue. "These concerts have been a staple in the community for close to 30 years, attracting thousands of attendees and featuring some of the best musicians in the St. Louis region," said Fred Hessel, CCBF Executive Director. "We are still looking for volunteers, vendors, and individuals or business to sponsor some of our concerts, but are excited to kick off our season this June. We attract a lot of people to the Carondelet area through the series and look forward to shining a spotlight on our neighborhood again this summer."
