New art supply stores joining Portland's creative community

PORTLAND, Ore. - May 25, 2016 - PRLog -- Artist & Craftsman Supply to open two stores in Portland this spring, selling supplies to the public for professional artists, kids, and everything in between.  The shops are staffed with knowledgeable, experienced, local artists.  Artist & Craftsman Supply, an employee-owned chain of retail stores based in Portland, Maine, has been providing supplies to creative communities for over 30 years.

This company has been very successful in its other locations by following a unique path toward expansion.  The formula has been to avoid high rent districts and refined spaces, and instead take on buildings that traditional retailers wouldn't normally touch.  Artist & Craftsman Supply puts stores where artists live and work, and serves communities that have often been overlooked by larger chains. The new Portland stores are located on SE 21st just off Powell, and on N. Lombard in North Portland.  The Southeast store is open now, and the North Portland store will open on June 1st.

The stores offer creative supplies for an array of professional art disciplines as well as crafts and children's art materials.  Artist & Craftsman Supply is also well known for its unique selection of gifts, toys, and peculiarities.
