Game Changing Technology and Water Track Highlight Next International Drone Competition in Asia

SHENZHEN, China - May 26, 2016 - PRLog -- After a very successful World Drone Prix in Dubai in March 2016, the world's leading multi-national aerial racing league, Aerial Grand Prix and its AGP China chapter, D1 Racing League in conjunction with the Asia Drone Racing Organization (ADRO), moves from the Middle East to Asia with the D1 Asia Cup on June 25 in Shenzhen, China at Oct Bay. With this race comes the debut of two big innovations in the sport of drone racing, the Amimon HD system and the world's first water racing track.

The World Drone Prix in Dubai introduced the largest prize pool in the sport of drone racing with $1 million and a first prize of $250,000 going to a 15 year old. Aerial Grand Prix introduced an innovative track, which had moving parts as well as implementing a pit stop for all racers. As the sport develops other innovations will come into play to enhance the competition for the pilots and viewing for the live broadcast audience. Last week, Amimon, the developer of CONNEX™ latency-free wireless HD video transmission technology, unveiled its CONNEX ProSight HD Vision Kit (http://www.marketwired.com/press-release/new-connex-prosight-delivers-industrys-first-all-digital-latency-free-wireless-system-2123047.htm) the first all-digital, HD solution specifically designed for the fast-growing first-person view (FPV) drone racing market. The D1 Asia Cup will be the first international race to incorporate the new system, which will use a unique timing system and reduces any signal issues enabling a new level of immersive experience and precision vision for both the pilots and spectators revolutionizing the sport.

The D1 Asia Cup will also introduce aquatic drone racing with the world's very first racing track above water. Adding a water show theater with lasers and fountain effects throughout the track, will not only enhance the spectator experience, but also the suspense of a drone crashing into the water completely damaging the drone.

A worldwide audience will be able to view the live broadcast of the D1 Asia Cup on YouTube with other broadcasts in China on PPTV, Niconico TV in Japan AfreecaTV in Korea.
