From Rio to Pompey for Annual Summer Ball

HMS Warrior 1860 is being transformed into Rio de Janiero for a colourful, carnival-themed ball.

PORTSMOUTH, U.K. - May 31, 2016 - PRLog -- The Warrior Preservation Trust, an independent charity which owns and operates HMS Warrior at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, will be hosting its annual fundraising ball on Friday 15th July to raise funds for urgent preservation work.

Think colours, samba music and dancing girls; the ship is sure to be hot, hot, hot! This black-tie event is a great precursor to the Rio Summer 2016 Olympics.  For £80 guests will enjoy a drinks reception, a three-course exotic dinner, samba band, dancing girls and a full programme of entertainment until the early hours.

Emma King, Warrior's Special Events Manager said: "Our events are always popular and limited tickets are still available for this event. With our annual Trafalgar Dinner selling out in record time and enquiries flooding in for our other dinners, this may be your last chance to party on warrior this year!"

All proceeds from the ball will help fund vital restoration work to the historic ship.

Tickets are available by calling the events team on 023 9277 8604 or emailing specialevents@hmswarrior.org. Visit www.hmswarrior.org for more information.
