United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce Honors Verizon Communications with the 2016 Good Neighbor Award

WASHINGTON - June 1, 2016 - PRLog -- The US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce (USMCOC) presented Verizon Communications the "Good Neighbor Award" at the Good Neighbor Awards Gala on May 25, 2016 at Organization of American States headquarters in Washington, DC.

The award recognizes Verizon Communications for its commitment and exceptional support to the Hispanic community in the U.S. through a number of programs that encourage youth to pursue advanced education, and use their knowledge and creativity to improve their lives and that of their communities. Emilio Gonzalez, Verizon's Executive Director for Strategic Alliances, accepted the award on behalf of the company.

The "Good Neighbor Award" recognizes companies and individuals who make "significant contributions" to the US-Mexico relations. Honorees include senior government officials and business executives, who work to build the U.S.-Mexico relationship including trade, economics, and cultural understanding.
