D. Madrid to serve as Information Coalition Advisory Board's Information Body of Knowledge Chair

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - June 8, 2016 - PRLog -- We are excited to announce the expansion of the Information Coalition's advisory board, as D. Madrid takes on the role of the Information Body of Knowledge (InfoBOK) Chair. Effective immediately, Madrid will be helping to define the new industry standard body of knowledge and help guide the eventual creation of a new industry certification.

Of her new board position, Madrid says: "This is a really exciting opportunity to be
involved with something special on the ground floor. The efforts that the Information Coalition have undertaken to determine a defined body of knowledge for the information profession are based on community collaboration, and I believe that this is what will set this effort apart."

The Information Coalition team is excited to welcome D. Madrid to help it to continue its' ongoing growth since its founding at the beginning of 2016. Focused on advancing community-driven best practices in enterprise information, the Information Coalition was founded in response to specific requests, providing collaborative, hands-on, and specific resources to enable information professionals to best reduce risk and increase the value of their information and processes.

Nick Inglis, Information Coalition President, says of Madrid, "D. Madrid is a pragmatic leader and someone who can help us move our Information Body of Knowledge (InfoBOK) efforts forward. Our goal in proposing the InfoBOK was to engage the community to collaboratively create a defined body of knowledge, together, not as a top-down approach, but to connect and create a body of knowledge and eventual certification that is truly of and by the people. As the Information Body of Knowledge Chair for our new advisory board, D. Madrid brings a world of experience from her work at PG&E, Tri-State Generation & Transmission, and her involvement with other industry associations. D. was the obvious choice to help us guide this effort and provide insight to our team. We are honored by her acceptance and are looking forward to being able to provide more resources for the information profession due to her involvement."

D. Madrid is the second member of the Information Coalition's new advisory board with further announcements to come.
