BELLEVUE, Wash. - June 8, 2016 - PRLog -- Ignite WA, in partnership with leading industry and government sponsors hosted a business round table accelerating the formation of an influential digital equity bill supporting small business and start-ups in Washington State. Attended by nearly 60 different business, community and government leaders. The roundtable focused on how government and community come together to enable digital business locally to thrive and compete in the local and global digital economy.

As Jennifer Dye, Small Business Advisor from the Small Business Development Center states "Providing assistance to small business with regards to their digital marketing, e-commerce, and software solutions is a win/win for everyone. As it helps small businesses become more productive, more lucrative, and contribute more to the communities they serve.

Nyasha Tunduwani, Real Impact Technology Consulting, a local small business, felt the event was extremely value- "I thought the event was extremely informational in the approaches across industries to digital equity. The group of people in attendance was of the highest caliber which provided for some great networking opportunities. Regarding the bill, I think blending the public/private partnership with community organizations will lead to the most impact."

Fred Neil, Head of lifecycle marketing Amazon, Kindle Content Division talked about 'Making it is easy for small businesses to be created, grow and thrive through robust toolkits. Better informed businesses will increase the likelihood of business success and experience reduction in small business failures, increase job creation and provide increased tax revenue for the state and local municipalities.

Pramila Jayapal, Washington State Senator who is co-hosted the event, stated that - "Small businesses are at the heart of the American Dream. They are what fuels sustainable economic growth and are vital to Washington's State economy. This is why Ignite Washington and I are working with key leaders to tackle systematic issues and increase their digital equity so that we can produce more jobs and improve economic conditions across the state."
