DeSAT announces new SAFER program for workplace violence and active shooter preparedness programs

WINDHAM, N.H. - June 20, 2016 - PRLog -- Delta Situational Awareness Training, popularly known as DeSAT, has introduced the SAFER training programs for effectively implementing Workplace Violence, Violent Intruder and Active Shooter preparedness.  These programs are designed to offer corporate, school, government, healthcare and other organizations a complete training program.

In keeping the nomenclature easy to remember, DeSAT is offering two modular courses to address organizational training:  SAFER-1 and SAFER-2.

SAFER-1 is a multi-faceted program for an organization's employees.  This course encompasses the essential tenets of workplace violence and active shooter preparedness.  The information in this course is invaluable, and transferrable -  no matter where you are:  at work, school, or a public gathering place.  SAFER-1 provides you with the tools, information, and mindset to be prepared in the event of workplace violence, violent intruder, or an active shooter event.

SAFER-2 shifts the focus to Management implementation of the infrastructure that organizations utilize to implement SAFER-1 in the workplace:  preparedness, communications, incident plan (actions to take during an incident), training, post-incident recovery, employees and operations.  In offering the new SAFER programs, DeSAT provides an easy-to-associate platform for individuals to effectively manage the situation, provide immediate steps to increase the odds of survival, and teach employees and management crucial techniques and strategies for when such a crisis arises.
