Yolanda Rabun Album Release Concert Set for July 9 at Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts

RALEIGH, N.C. - June 23, 2016 - PRLog -- North Carolina Contemporary Jazz recording artist, singer, writer and producer Yolanda Rabun will perform an energy-filled album release concert on Saturday, July 9, 2016, in Raleigh at 8:00 p.m. at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.  The concert will be held at the Kennedy Theatre located at 2 E. South Street, Raleigh, NC 27601.  The concert is presented in conjunction with Theatre Raleigh's 2016 Cool Summer Evenings Concert Series.

The music to be featured in this popular Raleigh concert series event is Yolanda Rabun's soul-infused jazz project and third studio album, YOLANDA. The YOLANDA album released March 8, 2016, after a successful $24,000 fan-funded Kickstarter campaign, and to date has enjoyed an astounding nine-week run on Europe's UK Soul Top 30 Chart.  With terrestrial, satellite and internet radio airplay, the album's first single, Believe in Love, has also made appearances on the SmoothJazz.com's Top 50 Album and Top 50 Indie Charts, RadioWave's Top 100 Smooth Jazz Internet Airplay Chart and one of BillBoard's Smooth Jazz Most Adds List.

Yolanda Rabun brings to the stage an engaging presentation of straight-ahead and contemporary Jazz, Blues, Folk, Pop, classic R&B, and more; She said, "...this album is full of everything, so plan for an entertaining evening of fun."  Notably, Yolanda is never afraid to take risks and will likely engage the audience using her well-known natural story-telling instinct to give audience members a personal experience for each song.  A North Carolina favorite, Yolanda Rabun has headlined several NC festivals and special events and opened for iconic artists including Jennifer Holiday, Ron Isley and the Isley Brothers, R&B singer KEM and the world-renowned iconic drummer, Sheila E.

Scheduled to appear with Yolanda Rabun will be her superb 6-piece band who played live on the YOLANDA album and a guest appearance by the acclaimed Jazz saxophonist Brian E. Miller of Durham, NC.  Along with CD giveaways, the concert will also have the YOLANDA album available for purchase and autographs, and an opportunity for audience feedback on the show and songs.
