collaborate to build CSP plant with 2.5GW capacity in China

BEIJING - June 22, 2016 - PRLog -- Ener-t International Ltd. , the CSP technology provider with over 30 years experience, and QINGHAI MINDA ENERGY & LOGISTICS (GROUP) CO. LTD (QMEL) have signed cooperation and service agreement to develop and implement CSP plants in China. QMEL and Ener-t will organize all resources, patents and proprietary technologies, needed to create successful CSP industry for the benefit of the Great China market.

Ener-t's team have led the origin Parabolic Trough technology development used in the world's first and famous CSP power plants - the 354MW SEGS project operating successfully since 1985 in California, USA. Ener-t technology is fully proven and bankable and has demonstrated long life time of over 30 years of successful operation at high efficiency and with fully integrated Thermal Storage System (TES) capabilities. Ener-t owns proprietary design and manufacturing capabilities for the complete plant as well as for its key components such as the collectors, receiving tubes and reflecting mirrors. Ener-t holds leading position in Parabolic Trough CSP and in hybrid systems for many years.

QMEL is well-established large private company focusing on energy investments. QMEL established its own CSP technology team in 2012 under full support by Ener-t. Under the collaboration agreement QMEL is focusing on the implementation of Ener-t's technology optimized for the specific requirements and situation of China CSP market. The company has done all its research and development work in Qinghai, Tibet, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang areas, and also setup the right technology and standards for the CSP technology usage.

Ener-t and QMEL agreed that projects implementation shall be made by a joint affiliated Ener-t Hong Kong Technology Ltd. Toward this, QMEL also signed cooperation agreement with CMIG New Energy Co., Ltd. (100% sub-company of China Minsheng Investment Group) which agreed to develop CSP projects in Qinghai, Tibet, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang areas. Accordingly, QMEL will cooperate with Ener-t & CMIG to develop a total of 2,500MW CSP projects in China in the forthcoming years.

Based on Ener-t reputation, mature and stable Parabolic Trough CSP technology, combined with QMEL strong China Market development capability, China CSP industry can grow up rapidly and successfully, and also to achieve the mass production cost reduction (CAPEX) as needed to deal with the government tariff fading out year by year.
